Maybe all this won't be necessary now...

Yet again it’s that time of year when tissues and warm drinks become more valuable than gold and silver. The cold season is upon us and with swine flu still in the news, any extra help is welcome.

No on the horizon comes NuCell, a new type of capsule that intents to bring micro science to the world of supplements.

It claims to boost the body’s nucleotides (a natural part of your DNA) in battling the bug. Unfortunately they claim it doesn’t give you super powers, but hopefully should help you beat the sniffles.

It also claims to help against headaches, sore throats and other symptoms of the dreaded swine flu, or regular old flue for that matter, as well as proposing a better night’s sleep.

It’s got recommendations too, with nutritional consultant Nigel Denby comments: “A strong immune system is important to help us fight infection. With the concern that swine flu will return more aggressively in the autumn, we need to be prepared.

“NuCell contains concentrated forms of nucleotides helping to boost our bodies’ levels which we may not be getting from our diet.”

Unless you want to add offal, fungi and yeast extracts into your diet, then perhaps a supplement’s the way to go.

As it also claims to help brighten your day and to stop mood swings, NuCell claims to be act as something of a all-purpose

Unfortunately, with NuCell selling for just under £15 for 30 capsules, and only from Holland and Barrett, it might not be the hope to everyone’s maladies, but with what’s on offer, you could just keep it for a very rainy day
