New research has indicated that eating junk food reduces a man's sperm count.

The study of 99 men attending a US fertility clinic found those with the highest fat intake had a 42 per cent lower sperm count and 38 per cent lower sperm concentration that those who ate the least fat.

Diets in omega-3fatty acids, found in fish oils, were linked to a higher sperm quality.

The research was conducted by the Harvard Medical School.

So, if you're thinking about offspring, it's time pass the salad.
