Blackcurrants

Blackcurrants

Surely you know better than to buy anything labeled "hangover cure" for the mornings after a wild night, but there has to be something out there to ease the headache, nausea, and overall sense of feeling like rubbish? Thankfully, British Blackcurrants have what you need to begin the fight-back.

While nursing a bottle of water or cup of coffee the following morning will certainly help a hangover, research has found that Blackcurrants are a new secret weapon for combatting hangovers before or after you have one too many.

According to Dr Derek Stewart from the Scottish Crop Research Institute (SCRI), researchers have found that ‘components taken from the humble superfruit such as vitamin C boosted levels of key enzymes that break down alcohol after heavy drinking'.

We recommend simply consuming a healthy dose of blackcurrant juice before or after partying (or both!), to support your body's defence system and help you to rejenuvate faster.
