We would all love a smaller waist, something to rival Cheryl Cole or Stacy Keibler, and now we can have it - with a little hard work of course.
Caron Bolser, Pilates Expert who runs her own one-to-one Pilates Studio, shares her best exercise for a smaller waistline.
She says: " Being the owner of a private Pilates Studio it is essential that I avoid the pitfalls of the holiday season. I am often asked for little tips to look taller, thinner, sexier and what to do about the cookies hidden at the back of the cupboard."
So instead of worrying about your weight this Christmas make sure your waist is small and defined before then:
1. Lie on your back with your hands laced behind your head and your knees bent into your chest.
2. Extend your right leg to a 45 degree angle and bend your left knee at a right angle.
3. Twist your torso towards the left so that your right elbow is reaching towards your left knee.
4. Immediately switch sides twisting to the right as you bend your right leg to a right angle and your left leg straightens 45 degrees from the floor.
5. Keep alternating sides inhaling for one set and exhaling for another set making sure your back does not arch off of the mat. Repeat for 10 sets.
Quick tricks to remember as you head out to that office party:
1. Don’t go out the night before the big party. Go to the gym and then to sleep.
2. If wearing a sleeveless shirt do a few light bicep and tricep exercises before going out. Right after exercising your muscles will look more defined.
3. Put body cream on your arms and legs before going out so they look soft and shiny.
4. Always pull in your tummy gently, shoulders open and softly pressing down with the crown of your head lengthening to the ceiling. This creates a long, lean line.
