"Boozy" Brits have 27 million alcohol-linked sick days per year, revealed a study published yesterday.

A quarter of all workers have an average of three-and-a-half days off sick each annum due to the fact that they're too intoxicated or hungover to carry out their duties.

The study also divulged that those employed splurge out on £23,340 worth of alcohol in their life time.

Blokes use a lot of their earnings on drink, spending £32,184 in their lives, compared with an average of £19,165 for females.

What's more nearly 15 per cent of the public think of themselves as a binge drinker states the Daily Record. However, just eight per cent say they're concerned about it.
