Steps, who sung their way to success in the 90s along with their dance routines and catchy lyrics, are reuniting for a 6 date mini UK city-centre tour in December 2012.
Steps will begin this festive jaunt at the Plymouth Pavilion on Friday 30th November and play in the prestigious London Palladium on Sunday 2nd December finishing up on Wednesday 5th December at Wolverhampton Civic Hall.
The tour will give fans a great opportunity to see their favourite pop group in such intimate theatres. Steps will be performing some new festive flavoured songs, some hits that they didn’t perform on their sold out UK Arena tour earlier in the year, as well as some of their most popular crowd pleasers.
Steps are also pleased to announce the release of ‘Light Up The World’, a fantastic collection of winter themed tracks perfect for Christmas - their first release on their own Steps Recordings/Warner Music Artist & Label Services, and their first collection of new recordings for over 10 years.
Their first album, Step One was certified five times platinum, cementing their position as the UK’s biggest pop sensations. Their next album, Steptacular, featuring smash hits ‘Love’s Got A Hold Of My Heart’ and ‘After The Love Has Gone,’ helped the album go four times platinum. In total, across 4 albums, Steps sold an astonishing 15 million records.
Steps: The Ultimate Tour Live DVD, will be available from Monday 29th October on Blu-Ray, and DVD.
Following the huge success of their TV Series, Steps Reunion, which averaged 1.3million viewers per episode, the DVD follows their spectacular 20-date 2012 arena tour around the UK. Packed with the very best on stage and behind-the-scenes content, this is a must for Steps fans and first timers alike.
Formed in 1997, Steps were the Pop Sensation of the Millennium. In total the five-piece have sold 20 million records, and achieved 14 consecutive Top 5 singles. They have won countless awards and had sell out tour after sell out tour all over the globe.
