Nanoblocks, the micro-sized model construction blocks that have proved to be a huge hit in Japan, have landed here on UK shores with the first, exclusive, UK distributor.
Having been a huge success with consumers across Japan, micro-sized construction blocks Nanoblock has recently arrived on UK shores; hoping to be a hit with model enthusiasts across the British Isles.
Nanoblock UK has recently become the first exclusive distributors of Nanoblock models within the UK, giving consumers and model construction fans the opportunity to purchase the full range of Nanoblock models.
And we have some Nanoblocks kits to give away here
Originally developed in Japan in 2008, Nanoblocks are micro-sized construction blocks that can be fitted together to create intricate collectible models.
With 11 brick types available, Nanoblock users follow patterns to create small- scale but highly detailed 3D models; with models ranging from grand pianos and polar bears, to larger- piece constructions of the Taj Mahal and Eiffel Tower. At their smallest, Nanoblocks measure just 4x4x5mm.
Nanoblock construction models vary in difficulty according to their size, with beginner- friendly models needing just 50 pieces to create. The more skilled Nanoblock users become, the more difficult the model to suit their skill; with ‘advanced’ model creations using over 6,000 Nanoblocks.
Nanoblock UK was created by Ashley Yeates; a Nanoblock enthusiast who first fell in love with the products after receiving the grand piano Nanoblock kit as a gift from Japan. Ashley recognised the huge popularity of the construction blocks across Japan and the growing interest across the world, and so decided to set up Nanoblock UK in order to distribute the model range to fans around the UK.
Currently, the Nanoblock range is distributed solely and exclusively by Nanoblock UK (www.NanoblockUK.com), and has now been stocked by retailers including Firebox, Firestar Toys, DinkyBox, Fenwick and Nanoblockshop.com.
Ashley Yeates, Founder of Nanoblock UK, commented on their introduction to the UK: "Having received a Nanoblock model kit as a gift around a year ago, I realised instantly why they were already so popular in Japan and across Asia.
"The model kits are great for all ages, for anyone who loves to build models, or even just enjoys creating things with model blocks; and I couldn’t wait to let the UK know about them."
He continued: "We are very proud to be the only distributors within the UK of Nanoblock models, and feel that they will prove to be as big a hit on UK shores as they are across Asia.
"More and more retailers are beginning to stock them due to increased demand; and we hope that soon everyone will be building their favourite micro-block creations!"
