The Ewings are back in the all-new series of Dallas out on DVD with UltraViolet on 12th November. Based on one of the most popular television dramas of all time, Dallas has been re-energised for 2012 and sees more battles for power, love and money than ever before.
After two decades, the war continues to rage between a new generation of super-hot and seriously sly Ewing men and women, providing enough sex, lies and betrayal to make J.R himself blush!
Starring a host of new talent including Josh Henderson (Desperate Housewives), Jesse Metcalfe (John Tucker Must Die), Jordana Brewster (The Fast and the Furious films), Julie Gonzalo (Veronica Mars), Brenda Strong (Desperate Housewives), Callard Harris (Sons of Anarchy), alongside the original Dallas superstars Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray, reprising their famous roles as J.R., Bobby and Sue Ellen Ewing, this season guarantees a web of backstabbing and deceit aplenty.
This time round, Southfork Ranch is at the centre of a twenty first century energy battle. Season one kicks off with an explosive start as J.R. Ewing and Sue Ellen Ewing’s scheming son John Ross (Henderson) is determined to undermine his grandmother’s legacy by drilling for oil on the precious Ewing land.
Meanwhile, Bobby’s adopted son Christopher (Metcalfe) hopes to take the family business into the new direction of alternative energy sources, motivated by his fiancée Rebecca Sutter (Gonzalo). Making matters even more complicated is the presence of ambitious and beautiful Elena Ramos (Brewster), John Ross’s girlfriend and Christopher’s former fiancée.
With an increasingly volatile feud now brewing between John Ross and Christopher, the stage is set for J.R. (Hagman) to return to his wicked ways and rekindle his own long-standing rivalry with his younger brother, Bobby (Duffy).
Always ready to stir the pot, Sue Ellen (Gray) isn’t far away and hopes to see her son John Ross take position as head of the family. When a tragic medical issue threatens his life, Bobby is forced to make a tough decision that could alter the lives of everyone he loves forever.
Developed by Cynthia Cidre (The Mambo Kings) from the series created by David Jacobs (Dallas [original]), the series features many familiar face from the original series. Guest appearances include Ken Kerchavel as Cliff Barnes, Bobby’s former brother-in-law; Steve Kanaly as Ray Krebbs, JR’s one-time nemesis; and Charlene Tilton as Lucy Barnes, JR and Bobby’s niece.
