‘Total War: Star Wars’ is thought to be the new game being developed by Creative Assembly
According to DualShockers, the studio owned by Sega is currently working on three new ‘Total War’ games, one of which reportedly will be ‘Star Wars: Total War’.
After a lack of success with its recent games ‘Total War: Pharoah’ and ‘Total War: Warhammer 3’, the company could be looking to strike back with a new addition to their catalogue.
Other setbacks that have occurred elsewhere included the many employees that Sega has to make redundant, which had a direct effect on Creative Assembly as well as Sega Europe and Hardlight.
Adjacent to this, Sega have confirmed to IGN that Creative Assembly “continues to have multiple projects in development with Total War and a new unannounced project.”
Fans of the ‘Total War’ franchise have repeatedly demanded the company to create a Star Wars version for many years. However, some gamers have instead insisted that they add ‘Warhammer 40,000’ to the mix in order to follow their ‘Total War Warhammer’ trilogy.
It is expected that gamescom in August may provide eager fans with more information as that is where Creative Assembly usually showcases its games.
