Megan Fox was a keen Super Nintendo gamer when she was younger.
The 29-year-old actress was announced this week to be playing video game character Amelia Delthanis, Captain of the High Council Guard, in Plarium's mobile fantasy/strategy title 'Stormfall: Rise of Balur'.
Although Megan has less time for gaming now she's a mother to sons Noah, three, and two-year-old Bodhi - her children with her estranged husband Brian Austin Green - she has fond memories of controlling Super Mario on the 90s 16-bit console and she's also a lover of shooting up aliens as the Master Chief from Microsoft's Xbox game series 'Halo'.
Speaking to GamesBeat, the brunette beauty - who is pregnant with her third child - said: "I used to play video games a lot before I had kids. I was really into 'Halo' and some other games. I grew up on a Super Nintendo. So I've been gaming my whole life. I've always been open to this."
Now Megan has made her in-game debut as a character she's keen to explore further opportunities in the industry which is getting to be as big as Hollywood.
The 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows' star said: "The industry is going insane. It's a successful spot to be in."
When asked if one day she could become more famous for playing pixelated characters than being a movie actress, she mused: "I don't know if that's my goal. I wouldn't be opposed to it if that were to happen. It'd be OK, too."
vailable for iOS and Android - in which she stars in.
Megan - who is currently pregnant with her third child - said: "I've not played a lot of strategy-oriented games. I've always thought of sort of the explore and conquer genre as more of like a serious gamer type genre. But I feel like that's opening up a lot more now and it's becoming a more broad and accessible part of Hollywood and gaming."
'Stormfall: Rise of Balur' was released in January 2015 as a sequel to 'Stormfall: Age of War' and has over 7.5 million registered users.
It is available on iOS and Android.
