'Star Wars: Battlefront II' has given a hint as to what Luke Skywalker did after 'Return of the Jedi'.
The new video games gives fans a look at what Mark Hamill's character did in the 30 years before 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' and seemingly suggests how he found himself heading towards exile on Ahch-To, a planet which hosts an ancient Jedi temple.
A clip from the game shows Luke on planet Pillio, where he encounters Imperial agent Del Meeko and the two enter the late Emperor Palpatine's private vault.
Though the room is mainly full of "worthless junk", Luke comes across a compass, which he is able to take, though the contents of the room were marked for destruction.
Fans have claimed the device looks like the symbol on the book - believed to be the Journal of the Whills - featured in the 'Star Wars: The Last Jedi' trailer, and think the compass guided Luke to the ancient temple where he was discovered by Rey (Daisy Ridley) at the end of 'The Force Awakens'.
But Luke is considerably younger in the game than in the recent movies, suggesting there is still much more to be revealed about his journey.
The game is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC, though those who purchased the Electronic Arts EA Access subscription service - which costs £3.99 a month - have had limited early access for the last week.
