Shawn Ashmore is "totally up" for starring in a sequel to 'Quantum Break'.
The 36-year-old actor plays protagonist Jack Joyce in the genre-busting Microsoft Studios and Remedy Entertainment third-person shooter which is split between normal gameplay and a live action TV show that is affected by in-game decisions.
Shawn spent over two years filming his scenes for 'Quantum Break' flying between Los Angeles and Helsinki in Finland and enjoyed the challenges of motion capture and facial capture and he's up for doing all again for a new adventure in the game's time-travelling universe or even starring in a new video game.
Speaking to BANG Showbiz, Shawn said: "Jumping into a new medium like 'Quantum Break' was risky, but that was what was exciting for me. To have a great story and action and adventure but to make it another way that is totally different to film that was exciting. I'm totally up for a sequel or even something else (in this genre)."
Shawn has spent hours playing the finished game - which is out now for Xbox One and Microsoft Windows - and admits he hates seeing his pixelated likeness get shot on screen.
The 'X-Men' star added: "It is awesome playing the game as myself, my inner 10 year old was very happy. But it is bizarre. As an actor to see yourself on screen it's very passive, you sit back in the theatre or at home and watch something that you're in and you sit back and allow it to play out. It's such a different feeling to take control of a character that looks like you, you don't want to put yourself in harm's way sometimes. You're like, 'I don't really want to go in that room because I know the bad guys are in there!' It's very surreal, but a very cool experience."
Since it was released last week, 'Quantum Break' has gone on to become Microsoft's best-selling new title - a game that is not a sequel - since the Xbox One hit stores.
