Phil Spencer has played down rumours of an Xbox One and a half upgrade being released.

The Xbox chief insists if the company do decide to improve the console then gamers will notice a "really substantial" change rather than a slight enhancement.

He said: "I'm not a big fan of Xbox One and a half. If we're going to move forward, I want to move forward in big numbers.

"I don't know anything about any of the rumours that are out there, but I can understand other teams' motivations to do that. For us, our box is doing well. It performs, it's reliable, the servers are doing well. If we're going to go forward with anything, like I said, I want it to be a really substantial change for people - an upgrade."

Phil also tackled other rumours, such as playing down speculation that 'Halo 5: Guardians' might be released on PC, saying he would rather "look forward" than "back".

He is quoted by Game Informer as saying: "In terms of Halo FPS on PC, I think there is a ton of opportunity for us right now, but I don't want to get in a world where we're looking back. It doesn't mean there is nothing there that would never end up on PC, but I would much rather look forward."
