Pedro Pascal has joined the cast of 'The Last Of Us'.
The upcoming HBO series - based on Naughty Dog's hugely popular PlayStation game of the same name - already has 'Chernobyl creator Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann attached.
Now, Deadline reports that 'The Mandalorian' star Pedro Pascal has signed up and will play lead character Joel.
The story - which set set 20 years after modern civilisation crumbles - sees survivor Joel tasked to smuggle 14-year-old Ellie (Bella Ramsey) out of an oppressive quarantine zone.
However, this seemingly small job becomes a brutal and heartbreaking journey as the pair travel across the US.
The upcoming show will be something of a reunion for Pascal and Ramsey, who both appeared in HBO fantasy epic 'Game of Thrones' as Oberyn Martell and Lyanna Mormont respectively.
Now, they'll both be back on the network for the video game adaptation, which is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television, Word Games, The Mighty Mint, Naughty Dog and PlayStation Productions.
While Druckmann and Mazin are on board as writers and executive producers, Kantemir Balagov is directing the pilot episode.
