SEGA has brought some brilliant games over the years, and Super Money Ball from 2001 was one of them. The game consisted of a money of your choice in a ball, in which you would have to carefully – or frantically – make your way to the end of each level.
While the first three Super Monkey Ball games may not have been action-packed, they were definitely a lot of fun, so it’s amazing that SEGA are bringing back the original trilogy of games in a remaster titled Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania: Wondrous Worlds.
The brand-new HD remaster will be coming to Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam for £34.99 (console) and £24.99 (PC) on October 5th, 2021.
The newly-revealed trailer showcases the beautiful Wondrous Worlds of Super Monkey Ball, remastered to HD quality.
Roll through stages within the game to stop Dr. Bad-Boon and keep your bananas! Travel through the villain’s Space Colony, or enjoy a spa day in the Bubbly Washing Machine.
Through various levels of difficulty and appearance, you must cross the finish line by balancing on thin beams, carefully crossing bridges and falling through holes, or simply race through the stages to get to the end.
While the game has kept the beloved levels and characters from the original series, there are even more stages to pass and more playable monkeys to storm through the game with! The remaster has also been enhanced with brand-new graphics and content.
Many players who owned the game at its 2001 release date will be excited to see the wonderful changes made to upgrade the game; nostalgia should run wild with original content, not to mention extra levels and playable characters to make the game even more enjoyable.
The trailer shows the beautifully reimagined worlds from the original games, which look stunning in HD. We also see new characters to play as, which should be brilliant as the original series only had four to choose from.
Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania: Wondrous Worlds will be available for a multitude of consoles from October 5th, 2021, and is available to pre-order now!
