A new 'Batman: Arkham' video game is rumoured to be in the works.
Speculation has recently surrounded the future of the popular gaming franchise, with whispers suggesting that the 'Akrham Knight' game marking the end of the series - but it appears that may not be the case after all.
According to WCCFTech, a new team has been installed to develop the next incarnation of the franchise.
The rumours are largely based on a series of footages from Warner Bros Montreal, who built 'Arkham Origins'.
Hollywood star Ben Affleck is set to reprise the role of Batman in the upcoming 'Justice League' movie, which would be a logical time to launch another game in the series.
WCCFTech, on the other hand, has claimed that the rumoured 'Suicide Squad' game will feature Damien Wayne, Batman's son.
In June, it was announced that the release of 'Batman: Return to Arkham' had been indefinitely postponed.
The HD remaster of 'Batman: Arkham Asylum' and 'Batman: Arkham City', branded as 'Batman: Return to Arkham', were set to be released on July 29.
But Warner Bros announced via its online forums that it will not go ahead.
The company previously said: "After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has decided to delay the release of 'Batman: Return to Arkham' to give the team at Virtuous Games additional time to deliver a polished 'Batman Arkham' game experience.
"We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the game will be ready."
