Netflix's 'Narcos' is getting its own mobile game.
'Narcos: Cartel Wars' is a free to play mobile game featuring in-app purchases, where gamers can play as a drug lord.
Aaron Berndtson, FTX Games' head of business development, said: "Narcos is about a lot more than violence, money and power. We really wanted to explore the moral ambiguity from the show, where right and wrong are subjective. We're very excited to put these choices into the player's hands."
Characters from the series will provide guidance for players as they attempt to rise to the top of the drugs cartel.
Meanwhile, Wagner Moura - who played Pablo Escobar - recently revealed that he is leaving the show but series creator Jose Padilha insists that the show is about more than just Escobar.
Jose said: "Pablo Escobar happens to be the man that created the mass business of cocaine trade...The show is about cocaine. It's about drug dealers that deal cocaine...The fact that we can take a broad perspective and talk about all the different drug lords allows us to take a critical view of the policies that America has and other countries have toward drugs, which is kill the supplies and do nothing about the demand... it's a repeating story."
