Telltale's Minecraft: Story Mode is to make its debut appearance this coming weekend on July 4 and 5 at the London Minecon expo, it's been hinted.

A tweet earlier today from the Telltale official Twitter account showed the logo for the community event with the text: "Let us tell you a story..."

Earlier in the month, Telltale's PR Job Stauffer mentioned on Giant Bomb's E3 coverage that the publisher was going to "be there".

"We would have brought that here [at E3], but I think Minecraft has its own convention in two weeks, maybe over fourth of July weekend, somewhere in London. Maybe you'll see it there. Just a hunch."

Minimal details about the project have been revealed since it was announced late last year, with Minecraft creator Mojang simply saying that the standalone episodic release would be an original story driven by player choice with a host of new characters.

At the time the studio explained: "We're not intending on creating an 'official' story for Steve, or explaining the world of Minecraft in detail. It will be a cool game."

Minecraft: Story Mode will come to Xbox consoles, PlayStation consoles, PC, Mac, iOS and Android devices before the end of the year.
