Minecraft players will be gifted the Glide mini game to console editions of the video game following a free update.
From Wednesday (29.03.17), games console users can obtain the game when they take advantage of a free update, plus there are Score Attack and Time Attack modes for solo or online play and Xbox One leaderboards to stir up competitive spirit.
The 'Minecraft' update builds on the addition of Elytra following the Christmas update, with a full launch track inspired by the Cavern map from Battle mode.
There are currently beasts, kraken, glaciers and Chinese Mythology-based maps and more maps will be added in future both for free and as part of a Season Pass - with one upcoming confirmed as a Temple-inspired free map that will include jungles, mines and archaeological dig sites.
Players who want to add excitement to the 'Minecraft' mini game can challenge themselves with the Time Attack mode which enables them to compete for the fastest times using thermal drafts, speed boosters and shortcuts.
Meanwhile, the Score Attack mode of the 'Minecraft Glide' mini game involves flying through rings which are colour coded according to their difficulty: green for easy, yellow for medium and blue for hard.
Each ring colour represents a different route and these routes sometimes overlap so players have the option of switching between them or sticking to one colour.
Today's 'Minecraft' update also increases the maximum number of Xbox One players in a Battle or Glide lobby to 16.
