Microsoft today showed off an incredible first look at the virtual reality world Minecraft has to offer, with players in future able to play Minecraft on their wall before transferring it to another surface for some of the most interactive gameplay on the planet.

Gamers can manipulate their Minecraft worlds using both their voice and hands, walking around it and changing viewpoints whenever they like.

For example, a player who focuses their gaze on a TNT while wearing the headset and says "Lightning Strike" will see lightning come down from the sky, setting off a huge explosion.

There's also the ability to lift up the world and see underneath any created villages so that you can find out what materials and goodies are hiding below without digging your way through the entire world.

On footage alone this thing looks incredible. Whether or not it works as flawlessly when in the hands of the consumer is another thing, but for now, this is perhaps the most exciting thing E3 will offer this year.

Now imagine playing one of the fan-favourite Minecraft Hunger Games modes whilst in this set-up. You could become a villainous gamemaker and lightning strike those hiding away in trees, manipulating the world however you see fit to cause chaos.

We can't wait to get our hands on this new device. We hope it's available for civilian consumption soon!
