Popstar Madison Beer has joined in on the fun surrounding the Deathloop launch, lending her vocals to the game's signature song Déjà Vu, whilst Future has put a hip-hop spin on the track and DJ Steve Aoki has remixed the tune.
Taking inspiration from the iconic Bond movie opening credits, Arkane Studios worked with Sencit and FJØRA to craft the track, which has now captured the imagination of gamers all across the globe.
The game will transport players to the mysterious island of Blackreef, which is stuck in an endless cycle which you are hoping to bring to a close. With an eternal battle between two extraordinary assassins taking place, it is up to you as one of them - Colt - to find a way to bring your 'deathloop' to an end, all whilst being hunted by the island's inhabitants.
Using both weapons and abilities, eight targets are to be taken out across the chaotic island, before the day resets. If successful, you will break the loop once and for all but, in the shadows lurks rival assassin Julianna, whose sole mission is to keep the loop going by taking Colt down.
Gamers will enjoy first-person action as they traverse the island, choosing their preferred playstyle. Will you go in all guns blazing, or stealthily sneak your way to each of your objectives? Combining deadly tools and weaponry, there are plenty of options and replayability.
Deathloop is available from September 14th, 2021 exclusively for console on PlayStation 5, as well as on PC.
