'Madden NFL 17' has gone from strength to strength over the years - and the latest addition (Super) Bowls its opponents over with ease.

If the game was an NFL player then it would be in the calibre of quarterbacks Cam Newton and Tom Brady, or running back powerhouse Adrian Peterson, as EA have clearly spent all four quarters of the last year very valuably indeed to make an even better title than its 'Madden NFL 16' predecessor.

In terms of graphics, the players seem to be able to hand-off defensive opponents in a more realistic way and there are some fantastic one-handed catches made by the all-important running backs in your favourite team.

Electronic Arts also seem to have made it slightly easier to play if you are controlling quality NFL players compared to rookies, rather than most players seeming to be of a similar ability when you're trying to blast through the opposition in search of that valuable touchdown.

Getting your decision-making spot on is more important than ever in the latest 'Madden' as if you're taking over a team then it won't pay off to field your best quarterback in a game if he is not at peak physical fitness, despite his stats being a million miles better than your rookie reserve's.

One of the most attractive features for newcomers to the game is that it is just as easy to pick up the way the title should be played by taking on the computer in matches, rather than having to scroll through a manual reading each and every move you can make.

All in all, if you're an NFL fan or a rookie to the video game franchise then you will more likely to feel it's a touchdown hit than a sacking flop.

'Madden NFL 17' is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
