'Halo: Infinite' has been handed a Christmas release date.
The much-anticipated game was originally scheduled for release last year alongside the new Xbox, but it was ultimately delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
But now, it's been confirmed that the game will be released later this year and Joseph Staten, the creative lead for 'Halo: Infinite', has given fans an insight into what they can expect from the new title.
He told The Verge: "When it comes to gameplay, our goal is to deliver a multiplayer experience that honours classic 'Halo' combat while also offering new players the support needed to jump in and have a great time.
"To that end, we’re introducing the Spartan Academy and Spartan Commander Laurette who will help players familiarize themselves with maps, weapons, and equipment."
The announcement was made during Microsoft’s E3 2021 keynote on Sunday (13.06.21).
Meanwhile, Ben Decker, Xbox's head of gaming service, previously claimed that the company will amaze gaming fans with some of its new titles, including 'Halo'.
He said: "We have 23 studios across Xbox and Bethesda, working on 'Halo', 'Forza', 'Fallout', and new IP that we haven't even talked about yet that's gonna blow your mind."
