Fortnite released in 2017, and has been a big hit with younger gamers ever since, as well as older game fans too. The game focuses on a battle-royale style of gaming, in which players enter a large map and fight to be the last one left alive.
One feature the game has hosted before, is Fortnitemares, a celebration of the spooky seaosn in which users can enjoy costumes, maps and experiences and more being added to the popular game.
The exciting event is back, and it’s bigger than ever! Fortnite will be adding new updates to Fortnitemares every single day in October, filling this month (October, 2021) to the brim with thrilling new content for all its players.
Not only will players receive new costumes and updates, but a new Shortnitemares episode will be available; more updates will be revealed closer to the time.
The first week of Fortnitemares has been interesting to say the least, as so much has already been announced for the spooky time ahead.
Fortnitemares 2021 will see well-known enemies, costumes and beasts will be returning to the game, as well as brand-new outfits, too. Throughout the Month of October, card will reveal legendary creatures making their way to the Fortnite Item Shop, not to mention some classic characters being given a creepy Halloween twist.
With every Item Shop debut, a card will flip over. Check out the card to see who will be entering the Shop, and take a look at the back of other cards for hits as to who could be next.
Also within this month, the Battle Bus can be visited, as well as Fortnite cosplay characters at Universal CityWalk, opposite Universal Studios Hollywood. Different characters can be seen through October, with new characters appearing on the day the go live in the Item Shop!
In regard to baddies, The Cubes have begun mobilising for the next stage of their evil plan. Later this October, they plan to increase their domination over the Island. During this cubic chaos, there will be missions to complete, for which you will receive eerie rewards.
The event will be ending with the third Short Nite film festival! Like previous events of the same kind, Shortnitemares will feature animated shorts, but this time around, they will be based on the creepy and ghostly.
This Short Nite will happen in a creator-made cinema (made my Quantum Builds), in which each short will have its very own screening room; decide which one to watch, or watch all three in a loop in the festival room.
This isn’t all Fortnitemares has to offer, so keep your eyes peeled for more updates and announcements throughout October, 2021.
