Yesterday saw the announcement from EA that the next installment in the FIFA franchise - FIFA 16 - would deliver 'Innovation Across the Entire Pitch' through gameplay, helping players 'Compete at a Higher Level' with FIFA Trainer and bringing 'New Ways to Play' alongside the introduction of Women's National Teams.
A stronger balance has been given to defenders and attackers in the new game, creating a realistic and enjoyable experience when trying to regain possession of the ball. More than 25 gameplay feature changes have been made to defender locomotion, and new tackling fundamentals such as fake and standing tackles have been implemented.
VP and GM, EA Sports FIFA David Rutter said: "This year we're looking at every single role on the pitch, evaluating where we wanted to innovate with all the feedback from fans, and setting out to develop the most balanced and exciting football game in the long history of the EA Sports FIFA franchise.
"Whether fans prefer short and precise passes through the middle, or getting it outside and whipping in crosses, the beauty of FIFA 16 is that it offers fans the freedom to play their way and find success on the pitch."
Meanwhile, fans are going to be able to vote on a new website launching soon for the superstar who will join Lionel Messi on the cover of FIFA 16 in select regions.
FIFA 16 is released officially on September 26 in the UK on Origin on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, PS4 and PS3.
