Matt Booty thinks the makers of 'Fable 4' have faced a 'Star Wars'-like challenge.
The Microsoft Studios head believes that launching a new game in the franchise is tough because "there's stuff that everyone wants you to bring along" - and he's likened the situation to releasing a new 'Star Wars' movie.
He told the Guardian newspaper: "With any kind of franchise like that, where you've had existing versions, there's always that balance between what you're going to bring forward, what still stands up, and what you want to add that's new.
"It's like the challenge of making a new 'Star Wars' movie - there's stuff that everyone wants you to bring along, but then you've got a responsibility to take that to new places and I trust Playground has a good vision for that."
Meanwhile, Xbox head Phil Spencer thinks the company is in a healthy position ahead of launching the Xbox Series X.
The much-anticipated console is slated for release later this year and Phil believes things are coming together nicely for the Xbox brand ahead of the big day.
He said: "I honestly think we're in the best launch lineup position that we've ever been on Xbox.
"When I think about the strength and depth of the games that people are going to be able to play day one on Xbox Series X - not only because of [backward compatibility] - and the way that Game Pass really allows the total cost of ownership of our console, I think is a real strength."
