'Dungeons 3' is being lined up for release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Kalypso Media and Realmforge Studios announced the next game in the evil mastermind series - following on from 'Dungeons' and 'Dungeon Keeper'.
Starring a new leader named Thalya, the third instalment in the franchise will feature the return of the comical narrator from the previous games.
The single player game will consist of 20 missions and for the first time, a new two player co-op is being introduced.
'Dungeons 3' is also expected to expand the amount of content in the game - introducing new rooms, minions and the ability for players to crush annoying do-gooders.
Meanwhile, gameplay in 'Dungeons' is aimed at caring for heroes - unlike the care of masters focus of 'Dungeon Keeper'.
In order to gain the Soul Energy needed to purchase high-end equipment for the dungeon, heroes need to be killed only after they are fully satisfied if they find treasure or fight challenging.
Unlike 'Dungeon Keeper', the player also has an on screen avatar, the Dungeon Lord, who can teleport bodies to the prison room to have their Soul Energy harvested or roam the dungeon defeating heroes.
He can then re-spawn at the dungeon heart if he is slain, at the cost of the dungeon heart's health points.
To celebrate the release of 'Dungeons 3' a cinematic trailer and screen shots have been released.
Meanwhile a more in-depth showcase of the game is scheduled for the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2017 which starts on February 27.
'Dungeons 3' is currently scheduled to launch in Autumn 2017 for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One consoles.
