Bungie has released three featurettes about the upcoming sequel to 'Destiny'.

The first game was released in 2014 and fans have eagerly waited for a sequel of the hit game which saw players take on the role of a Guardian, protectors of Earth's last safe city as they wield a power called Light.
Players were tasked to journey to different planets to investigate and destroy the alien threats before humanity is completely wiped out and to revive a celestial being called the Traveler.
However, the upcoming sequel - which is set for a September release - tells a brand new story following the world full of superheroes who have lost their powers, their history and their home.
According to the first featurette, in the opening of 'Destiny 2' players realise there is a foe that has the power to not only take your life away but to take your powers away.
Dominus Ghaul is a warlord who has brought with him the legion and has come to Earth to take the Travelers powers of light and take it for himself.
Described as being similar to Alan Rickman's character in 'Die Hard', Ghaul feels like the power of the Light is something that is owed to him after everything he has been through.
In the upcoming sequel, players can take a role of a titan, a warlock or a hunter and the aim of the game is to go out and get your powers back and take back the city.
The sequel was hinted at in November 2014 and is now slated for a September 2017 release for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.
