The SmartHalo attaches to your handlebars and with the combination of your smartphone, will give you a navigation system, security system and an automatic night-light. The device uses a ring of multicolour lights, or a halo, which can provide navigation suggestions as well as alert you to incoming calls and messages.
Many apps currently track navigation and fitness statistics, so it is no surprise that the SmartHalo does this as well. By having an automatic on/off feature, SmartHalo reduces the hassle of setting up tracking schedules and putting you at risk while on the move.
The security feature is also worth mentioning, as the device can only be removed with a unique key which is provided with the product. An alarm system can also be activated to sound an alarm while flashing violently should a thief attempt to steal your precious bike.
You can preorder the SmartHalo device on Kickstarter for $149 (£96), which the makers are promising to deliver by May 2016.
