Pinterest's New Article Pins
Yesterday (25.9.13) saw Pinterest begin a whole new look for article pins that are displayed on their website.
After starting to utilise pins as a gateway to more text focused content back in May with their recipe, movie and product pins, news articles - of which the site sees more than five million of per day - are the latest to get the makeover.
Users can now find articles on a broad range of topics - from science to parenting - and save them to their reading list boards for future viewing.
Partnering with The Guardian, Rolling Stone and Vogue Paris to name but a few, more information has been allowed to be added to the pins, including the headline, author, a story description and a link to where the story originates.
