These caramelized onions are absolutely divine, the manuka honey gives them a gentle flavour that is unique and absolutely beautiful with cheese. Super easy to make they are perfect made ahead of time, stored in the fridge ready to pop out to make any guests feel special!

Ingredients

4 medium onions sliced thinly
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
3 tablespoons Steens Manuka Honey
2 tablespoons cold pressed olive oil

Method

Place all of the above in a saucepan stirring to coat the onions. Over a high heat continue cooking, stirring often. When onions begin to brown, reduce heat continue cooking until dark brown. Serve with cheese of your choice, topped with the onions on toasted crusty bread rounds, crackers or in a little dish on the side with cheese of your choice... scrumptious!

Store for up to 2 weeks in fridge.
