Why is Halloween the perfect time to crack open a box of cupcakes?
I could give you a long winded answer, but let’s be honest here; any time is a good time for cupcakes!
Usually Halloween is a time for sweets and chocolates so to what extent do you think it is evolving to incorporate more sweet treats like cupcakes?
One word. PARTIES. Us Brits are starting to lose the typical stiff upper lip and letting our hair down! Americans have done Halloween bigger and better than us for a long while now but we are catching up! Halloween has always been a night of celebration and indulgence and what’s more indulgent than your own personal cake?
What is Halloween usually like in your house with your two children?
Actually, Halloween is relatively quiet in our house. Despite much enthusiasm from mummy, my boys simply don't enjoy going out! The eldest is now too old and the youngest, being one generous little chap, gets great joy handing out the sweets at the front door!
Many people are saying that Halloween is becoming Americanised, so do you feel this is a good or a bad thing?
I do not think that the growth of any celebration which includes gestures of generosity and fun can possibly be a bad thing?! Besides, it’s one night where grown-ups can relive their childhood and play dress up without getting odd stares!
Please tell us about your spooky offerings at Halloween!
Cupcakes have been banished too long to the land of the pretty and identical, the domestic and the dainty. But now, Smug Little Cupcakes are biting back! We have dug right into the Halloween spirit and brought our customer some spooky Cupcakes! Our little vampire bats my look cute, but do not be deceived! For inside they are packed full of chocolaty and vanillary goodness that is bound to make you feel wickedly indulgent!
Some people don’t think it’s right to give out sweet things on this event, but why is it important to share the love with indulgences such as cakes?
Halloween has evolved from the Pagan celebration it once was. It's now an act of generosity and trust towards total strangers, whom you would never usually talk too. It brings fun into and out of the home, even more so than Christmas and it leaves families, friends and most importantly children, with happy memories and traditions that can be shared with the generations to follow! As for handing out sweets in specific, well, you could hand out apples and oranges, but where's the fun in that?!
Why are major holidays like Halloween becoming cupcake holidays?
Cupcakes are an easy and fun way to incorporate the current festive theme into your holiday celebrations (and let’s not forgot all major holidays are celebrated with confectionaries and baked goods!) They look amazing as part of a table display or as a unique and delicious dessert! Whatever the reason cupcakes are no longer modest, they are Smug!
