Gammon, Cranberry And Chestnut Tart

Takes: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 225g (8oz) Cooked gammon ham, cut into strips/chunks
  • 500g Pre-made, chilled, puff pastry
  • 3 x 15mlsp (3tbsp)
  • Cranberry sauce
  • 50g (2oz) Chestnuts,
  • walnuts and/or pecan nuts

Method:

  1. Pre-heat the oven to Gas Mark 5, 190°C, 375°F.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry into a 20cm x 30cm rectangle. Score a line in the pastry 2cm from the edge. Spread the cranberry sauce over the pastry within the scored rectangle and sprinkle with the gammon and nuts.
  3. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes until the pastry is well-risen and golden.
  4. Serve either hot or cold, as a snack or as part of a buffet.
