Fairy, Make-A-Wish and Amanda Holden have broken the Guinness World Record for the largest cake sculpture. The amazing challenge undertaken by Fairy supports the annual Bake-A-Wish® fundraising effort by its partner Make-A-Wish, the charity that grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions.
The cake was made from an incredible 520 kg of caster sugar, 8360 eggs and 417 kg of Margarine and butter. 12,000 lucky shoppers at Westfield Shepherd's Bush got the chance to buy a slice of cake, with all proceeds going direct to Make-A-Wish.
You're probably thinking that sounds like a lot of mess, and you'd be right, but you needn't worry - Fairy got on the case and managed to wash everything up with only ONE bottle of 870ml Fairy liquid.
Amanda Holden said: "As a patron of Make-A-Wish it is a charity that is dear to my heart and does such wonderful things for truly deserving children and young people.
"This GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS attempt has the potential to raise a huge amount of money for the charity which will be used to help grant more magical wishes."
