Hello, everyone!
So last week was really exciting, I have a few fantastic bits of editorial coming out for Biteappy, where I get to share my story and my journey of being a coeliac and how it took me to creating my business. I really enjoy doing things like this as any press when it comes to the 'free from' market, I love seeing other people's experiences and there are so many great stories within the industry, especially with products, most companies started with some struggling to eat something and therefore finding a solution which is great. So it was really exciting to have my hair and makeup done and to have some lovely photographs taken in my home.
I have my sisters wedding this weekend which I am really excited for, she is marrying the man of her dreams and I can't wait to share their special day with them and the rest of my family. When I travel I always take with me Entersogel, I found this when I was exhibiting at the Allergy and Free From show last year in London as we were next to each other and now I can't travel without it. It is free from preservatives, gluten, lactose, flavouring, sugar, sweeteners and fat. It is also free from animal by-products and is suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Enterosgel is an oral gel and can be used for many things such as, reduces or prevents toxic and allergic reactions, relieves symptoms of indigestion, helps to restore beneficial intestinal microflora, protects gastrointestinal mucous membrane and promotes healing of its lesions and it reduces the toxic load on the liver and kidneys.
Enterosgel works like a clever 'sponge': gently passing through the gut. It adsorbs only medium-weight molecules of harmful substances in the gut, which are toxins, pathogens, allergens and viruses, and removes them within 12-24 hours with your normal bowel movement. Due to its hydrophobic features and porous structure Enterosgel does not remove water, vitamins and other beneficial substances from the gut. This gel is a toxin flusher and if you ask me it is a must-have for travellers who suffer from IBS, food allergies, intolerances but even if you suffer from indigestion problems, and/or if you have food poisoning or just as a gentle detoxifying treatment that you can take to clean out your body every 6 months.
As a sufferer of Coeliac Disease, this is going to be a staple in my travelling kit now in case I have any issues or problems whilst abroad, plus it is always good to flush out your system of bad toxins every 6 months. When I used it I really noticed my energy levels are higher, less general digestion problems, my skin, hair and nails all feel healthier as well as my general health. I have really noticed a huge change and will continue to use Enterosgel.
I have some wonderful cakes on my blog, but one of my favourties, is coffee and walnut. When a friend of mine asked me to make this for her I really turned my nose up as I didn't think it would be my kind of thing, but I love trying out different cakes so I gave it a go, it is totally delicious and great for afternoon tea!
Restaurant Hangout of the Week
I went to meet some friend's midway between Brighton and London and searched long a hard for a good pub! I choose the Sergison Arms and when booked I informed the staff I was gluten free and lactose intolerant and they said no problem we have allergen menus and they did!
I was presented with the main menu and the allergen booklets so found it very easy to choose! I had for main course the duck salad which was divine I really enjoyed it was a really decent portion size and the pomegranates really complimented the flavour of the duck. I would highly recommend a visit here, the pub is beautifully finished inside and it is really clean and cosy! The only thing I would like to see is a few more options that were gluten and lactose-free but the salad was lovely.
Until next time
