They say that variety is the spice of life but would you be willing to risk yours to try out some of the deadliest dishes the world has to offer?
Now, Brits are getting a chance to put their nerves and taste buds to the test at Cafe de Mort which opens its doors to adventurous diners tonight.
The restaurant, which is located in a central London church crypt, will open its doors for two nights only, supplying diners with a killer menu.
Although the menu is a closely guarded secret, it's know that it will include delicacies from around the world that if aren't cooked correctly, are potentially deadly!
Presenter and foodie Gregg Wallace is behind the idea and will be serving up the food to brave diners, all in support of the campaign Remember A Charity.
The campaign was put together to encourage people to put a charity in their will, very fitting for the daredevil diners expected over the two nights.
Gregg can't wait to join in with the campaign and is looking forward to trying the dishes!
He said, "I've eaten all sorts of food in my time, but this is the first time I’ve actually had to put my life on the line! The menu is unlike anything I’ve ever tried.
"All the dishes are considered delicacies in one part of the world or another, but one slip in the kitchen could have deadly consequences. But I’m confident that our chefs won’t have any lethal lapses and I can’t wait to get stuck in."
Cafe de Mort is hoping to raise plenty of awareness surrounding leaving gifts in Wills and we wish all the diners the very best of luck!
