Liverpool was the first stop on the Cadbury Advent Calendar trucks list this December, with a one-off Christmas Grotto made entirely from Cadbury chocolate being unveiled in the city for passersby to marvel.
The first reveal comes after the latest Cadbury Christmas TV advert was brought to screens across the nation, seen below.
Every truck represents a different door of the advent calendar, and the Chocolate Grotto is the first of many unique surprises making their way up and down the United Kingdom in the weeks leading up to Christmas Day.
The Grotto took a team of expert food artists over 200 hours to complete, with over 2,500 Cadbury bars adorning the grotto, and 1,250 bars of Cadbury Dairy Milk Winter Edition lining the walls. A rug is made up of 6,150 edible individual Cadbury Roses and a chocolate fireplace includes Cadbury Crunchie bars and Cadbury Double Deckers.
Edible baubles and presents, along with a Santa's Table and Chair made from Cadbury Wispa bring the scene to life, and a giant Cadbury Freddo head painting is displayed alongside other favourites.
Claire Low, Marketing Manager at Mondelèz International, said: "Santa's Grotto is synonymous with the feeling of Christmas so we felt this was the perfect way to kick off our festive countdown. We wanted to create something that captured the excitement felt when opening the first door of your advent calendar, and the Cadbury Chocolate Grotto merges the wonderful themes of Santa and chocolate. We loved seeing everyone enjoy the one-of-a kind creation and can't wait to unleash even more joy when we open our next door tomorrow!"
