Ben & Jerry's classic, musically-inspired Moo-phoria Chocolate Cherry Garcia is making its way back to UK shelves, with a twist. Packed with chunks of chocolate and pieces of cherry, Ben & Jerry's Flavour Gurus have whipped it all together with a rich, chocolate ice cream.
The original cherry pieces and chocolate chunks recipe was one of the very first fan suggestions, made back in 1986. Two Grateful Dead fans left the idea on a board in their local scoop shop in Portland, Maine.
No sugar substitutes or sugar alcohols have been used in the creation of the new flavour, which is made with Fairtrade-certified ingredients. Each 100ml serving contains just 117 calories, making it the lightest way to enjoy Ben & Jerry's.
Tsega Abate, Ben & Jerry’s Flavour Guru said: “We think this new addition to our Moo-phoria light family will be music to the ears and the taste buds. We’ve given our musically-inspired classic Cherry Garcia an all-new chocolatey twist giving ice cream fans a tub which is light on fat but loud on flavour.”
Ben & Jerry's Moo-phoria Chocolate Cherry Garcia will be available alongside the rest of the Moo-phoria range, in freezers across the country from mid-September, with an RRP of £5.49.
