BBQ’s are the perfect way to celebrate the summer weather and this recipe will certainly impress your guests.
Moroccan beef burgers beat your normal burgers with all the spices and herbs making for great flavours so give them a go!
Moroccan Beef Burger
Ingredients:
500g beef mince
3 slices bread, crusts removed (breadcrumbs)
1 onion, roughly chopped
2 tablespoons Gourmet Garden Moroccan Fresh Blend
1 egg
Salt and pepper
Olive oil spray
2 large red tomatoes, finely diced
1 small red onion, finely diced
1 tablespoon Gourmet Garden Coriander
1 lime
4 Turkish bread rolls, split and toasted
8 slices beetroot, drained on paper towels
Baby salad leaves
4 tablespoons hummus dip
Method:
Add to the mince with Gourmet Garden Moroccan Fresh Blend, egg and salt and pepper and mix well. Form into four large patties and refrigerate for 20 minutes if time allows.
In another bowl make salsa by combining tomatoes, onion, Gourmet Garden Coriander and season with salt and pepper and a squeeze of lime.
Spray a hotplate with olive oil and heat to very hot, then reduce to medium. Cook the burgers for 4-5 minutes on each side, until cooked through.
To assemble burgers, spread base of bun with hummus or yoghurt and add a handful of salad leaves and beetroot. Top with a burger patty and cover with tomato salsa.
