The winners will be mentored one-on-one with their celebrity expert either Heston Blumenthal, Richard E Grant or Tracey Emin with the potential to demonstrate their talent on British Airways flights in the run up to the London 2012 games.

The film category will get the opportunity to write a short film that will be shown on BA flights and will be showcased at the pre-show to the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony.

Working alongside Heston, the winner will help to create the perfect dish to serve at 35,000ft in the air to be served to millions of BA customers.

BA Great Britons food mentor, Heston Blumenthal, said: "I thrive on creativity and developing new and exciting dishes, and I’m looking to find someone who shares this enthusiasm. Together we will showcase British cuisine at its best and at 35,000ft!
