Covent Garden Soup Put the Fun back into Lunch

Covent Garden Soup Put the Fun back into Lunch

New Covent Garden Soup Company found that 77 per cent of us Brits stick to what we know when it comes to food and rarely vary our eating habits.

To combat this and make us more adventurous, they have opened the Giant Soup Carton Slide in London’s Covent Garden Piazza!

The slide will be open from the 14th – 16 November from midday to 8pm and will allow its visitors to take a walk on the wild side and give it a go.

Not only will you get a super adrenaline kick but you’ll also be able to try the new offerings from New Covent Garden Soup Company.

The new soups include Scrumpy Chicken, Carrot & Coriander as well as Patatas Bravas with Chorizo – something for every taste!

It’s not only a great way to try new tastes, the event is also great for helping those less fortunate than ourselves.

New Covent Garden Soup Company will donate a cup of soup to the The Connection at St-Martins-in-the-Field soup kitchen for the homeless for every time a person slides down the giant ladle!

Nick Munby, Marketing Manager for New Covent Garden Soup Co said, “At the New Covent Garden Soup Company, we want to inject some creativity into people’s eating habits and encourage them to try new flavours.

“Our new World Soups range is packed full of exciting flavours, try them and inject a taste of the exotic into your lunchtime.”

A team of 10 people worked for five weeks to build the 20 foot giant ladle slide which comes out of an enormous 25 feet tall New Covent Garden soup carton.   The carton holds 107,000 regular soup cartons, enough to feed 214,000 people.

If you fancy having a slide down the massive ladle then make sure you visit Covent Garden before Friday 8pm!
