After their success co-hosting Mitch and Matt's Big Fish, ex-Rugby International and TV personality, Matt Dawson, has once again teamed up with celebrity chef and restaurateur, Mitch Tonks.
Not only did they take part in, and complete, the inaugural Redwook Creek Challenge (a 14 mile course over woodland and water that includes a run, an obstacle course and some kayaking) they also took time out before the race to whip up a fantastic Chilli Prawn dish.
In this video Matt and Mitch show how to make Chilli Prawns, and you can also see them pushing themselves to the limit on the Redwood Creek course.
They’re backing a campaign to get more men experiencing a taste for adventure and enjoying the great outdoors.
The premium Californian wine brand recently conducted some research into the challenges that men aged 35-55 years old set themselves.
The survey found that half of men (50%) have set themselves arduous physical feats such as marathons, triathlons and scaling mountains in the past twelve months.
Typically, men over 35 aim to complete two challenges a year and spend, on average, nearly three hours per week training.
Two in five (41%) of the men surveyed admit that they’re much keener now on testing their physical endurance than they were when they were younger - with an expanding waistline the biggest motivation to get fit, followed by a need to achieve something and escaping work and family pressures.
However, two fifths (38%) of men fail to reach the starting line of their last physical feat, citing falling motivation, fears of being unfit and lack of time as the biggest hurdles to overcome.
