It's that time of the week again, when we look back on something that has entertained or excited us in the past, and reminisce with readers to hopefully hit you right in the feels with a hearty dose of nostalgia! This time round, we're taking a look back at some of the best snacks and treats of the past that we wish we could get our hands on nowadays!

Happy Throwback Thursday!

Flake Snow

For the kids of the current generation, Flake Snow looks like something out of a dream. It's never existed for them, having been discontinued way back in 2008. A petition was launched last year in a bid to convince chocolate-makers to bring it back to supermarket shelves, but it looks as though it's failed. A shame, because the milk chocolate coating and fluffy white chocolate centre was one of the best experiences your tastebuds could ever go through!

Original Sunny D

There were always stories going round the playground in the '90s, about a young girl who had consumed so much of the original Sunny D drinks, she turned orange. It turned out that this case was actually true, and that a young girl who had been drinking over a litre and a half of the juice had turned a yellowy colour. This was named as carotenemia, which was brought on by the high level of beta-carotene in the drink. Drinking too much orange juice would have done the same thing, but because of the negative press, Sunny D sales went down the gutter, and the original recipe left British retailers forever.

Prawn Cocktail Quavers and Wotsits

These tasty little snacks were some of the most addictive on the market, but unfortunately, unless you're willing to jump on a plane to pick up a packet, they're gone forever! Whilst the original cheesy flavours are good, we've got such a longing to go back a few years and enjoy these prawn cocktail treats.

Cadbury Dream

Fancy going to the other side of the world for me? If you're in Australia, pick me up a few kilograms of Cadbury Dream and I'll be forever in your debt! I'm a huge fan of white chocolate (though the new White Chocolate Coco Pops aren't great), and Cadbury Dream was one of the most delicious bars around. I'll be shocked if Cadbury don't decide to bring this back to the UK at some point or another!

Cadbury Snaps

In a range of different flavours, Cadbury Snaps were chocolate's answer to Pringles! They were incredibly mourish and it wouldn't take long to get through a full pack, or four! It'd be great to give these another go around...

Panda Pops

When you'd finished your day at school and had a couple of quid to spend at the corner shop, Panda Pops were on the top of the shopping list! After 35 years however, the fizzy drinks were scrapped in 2011, and never found their way to consumers again. Damn you, health-conscious Britain!

Mars Delight

If there's something the British love, it's an online petition. Thousands left their digital signature demanding that the Mars Delight make a return, but it's yet to find its way back into UK shops. Lighter than the original Mars, the bar would have a delicious wafer centre that was a wonder on the tongue!

Monster Munch Vanilla

If you love ice cream, and you love Monster Munch, then you were onto a winner when the Vanilla flavour Monster Munch were released! They weren't around for very long, and to be honest, I can't remember if they were even that great, but I'd love to give them another go, and I'm sure thousands across the UK feel the same.
