A charitable gift has more meaning behind it – for example by buying an Action for Children t-shirt or jumper you will be giving a child a hot meal, clothing or a safe place to sleep in during the cold months.
You’re not only buying a great gift but also donating to an amazing cause at the same time.
Christmas is a time for giving, not only to friends and family, but also to those who are less fortunate than you.
Christmas is renowned for overspending, instead of overspending by giving your secret Santa a charitable gift you are also making a donation and in doing so thinking about the bigger picture.
It reminds people of the true meaning behind Christmas in a society which often forgets this.
It promotes the feeling of happiness and warmth and in doing so feels good to both yourself and the person receiving the gift.
By gifting a charitable secret Santa it encourages friends and family to do the same in the future.
Children’s charity Action for Children are thrilled to announce their Secret Santa campaign for Christmas 2019. They are launching a series of charity t-shirts and jumpers with celebrity supporters including ambassador Larry Lamb, Stacey Solomon, AJ Odudu, and Sophie Hinchliffe (aka Mrs Hinch). Other stars supporting the campaign include Lisa Snowdon, Una Healy, Sabrina Washington, and Eyal Booker.
Secret Santa is a popular way of giving presents at Christmas, but it often results in unthoughtful and ultimately unwanted gifts. Instead, this year Action for Children are giving people the option to give a gift with meaning, by purchasing a stylish celebrity inspired t-shirt or jumper of their choice. In doing so they will be raising vital funds for the vulnerable children and young people the charity supports.
Each t-shirt is available for £19 and jumpers are £30. They feature the words ‘happy’ and ‘safe’ because Action for Children believe all children should have a safe and happy childhood. The celebrities hand-picked a variety of stand-out designs as part of the campaign; while Stacey Solomon models the charity’s core design, Lisa Snowdon went for stars and Sophie Hinchliffe chose leopard print. Actress Kara Tointon and best-selling author and campaigner Anna Whitehouse (aka Mother Pukka) also hand selected colourful text as the print on their t-shirts. The proceeds from the sale of each Secret Santa item will go towards continuing the charity’s important work.
As a charity, Action for Children work to ensure all children across the UK feel safe and happy, providing services which allow them to step in to help when times get tough. Christmas should be a magical period, spending time with family and exchanging presents, but for thousands of children across the UK this will not be the case. Some will be waking up on Christmas Day homeless, others living with domestic violence or suffering from abuse and neglect, whilst many will be going hungry. Funds raised through the sales of the t-shirts and jumpers will help Action for Children support vulnerable children like these.
Other talent supporting the Secret Santa campaign by wearing the core campaign charity t-shirts are Anna Williamson, Ali Bastian, Joshua Patterson, Olivia and Alex Bowen, Ben Tansley, Shelby Tribble, Charlie Condou, Kelly Knox, and Ashley James.
