We can’t get enough of podcasts here at Female First. That’s why every week, we’re spotlighting a favourite of ours.
The great thing about podcasts is how conveniently simple they are to consume – you could be driving, cooking, working out – they require no visual engagement. All you need is a handy device to listen on, and you can go about your daily life listening to whatever you enjoy.
From crime to comedy, history to health, there’s something for everyone in the wonderful world of audio programmes.
Our favourite podcast this week is: Confronting: O.J. Simpson
Why? There aren’t many people who haven’t heard about the infamous O.J. Simpson case. It may have occurred decades ago, but it’s still a divisive topic in opinion. Many people believe that O.J. was guilty, but not the jury who ultimately made the decision that the world famous American football star was not responsible for the double murder of Nicole Simpson Brown and Ron Goldman.
Who’s the host? The podcast is hosted by Kim Goldman - the sister of Ron Goldman. The families of Nicole and Ron have never have never had any closure since the double-murder.
What’s it about? Kim, who is an advocate for victims’ issues, speaks to family, friends and key figures from the infamous case, in an attempt to understand why no conviction was ever made from the horrific tragedy.
Where can I listen? Wherever you listen to podcasts! Confronting: O.J. Simpson is available on all podcast apps.
