I am somebody with a big head. Literally. It's pretty much a bowling ball, and I'm fine with that. At almost 27 years of age, it's something I've come to terms with. One of the problems that I've found with having such a melon-shaped dome however, is finding headphones that work for me. Usually, I'll stick to earphones for comfort and ease. So, when I was given the opportunity to trial Libratone's Q Adapt On-Ear Headphones, I was a little sceptical when it came to how they'd fit. Still, I jumped at the chance to give a new set of headphones a go; perhaps these would be the perfect pair for me!

The look

One of the very first things you'll notice with these headphones is the sleek packaging they arrive in. Elegant from the moment you they're first presented, you expect a luxury, high-end product to be inside the circular box. A slick carry case for your headphones is included within the packaging, as well as the wires you'll need for charging, instructions, and of course the headphones themselves.

The stormy black edition that we were sent to trial are a sight to behold. They look like a product you'd want to find out more about if you saw somebody else wearing them, but aren't at all intimidating.

The feel

As for how the headphones feel in your hands, they're great, and not at all as heavy as you might expect. When it comes to placing them on your head (and as you know, this for me is a biggy!), they're comfortable, even for me. They don't feel like the most secure of headphones when up on top of my noggin, but I had a bit of a dance around to Britney, and they stayed perfectly in place.

The right ear cup doubles up as a touch surface, on which you can pause and play music, pick up calls and hang up, activate Siri and turn your volume up and down. This geeky addition had me beaming; features like this really add to an overall exciting experience. On a couple of occasions however, I had to remind myself not to readjust my headphones by placing my hand on the right side cup, or I would accidentally turn the music off.

The sound quality

One of the most important aspects of any set of headphones is of course how they sound, and Libratone do well with this piece of kit to ensure their customers enjoy the music or podcast they're playing. The added CityMix noise control function button means that no matter what sort of environment you're using the headphones in, they work well for you.

As these headphones are wireless, they use Bluetooth to connect to your media device. I've experienced problems in the past with headphones of this sort, which would randomly drop out and force you to reconnect, but that's not something I've had happen at all in the weeks I've spent with this headset.

Battery is also impressive, with around 20 hours of life ensuring you only have to charge once or twice a week, dependant on course of how much you'll be using them.

Conclusion

Libratone have done an incredible job of combining the world of wireless headphones, with noise-cancelling sets that ensure a brilliant experience from start to finish. Plus, they're even comfortable for big heads like me! What more could you ask for?
