The plumber who offers free services to the elderly and disabled

James Anderson of Burnley became a social media star this week, when it was revealed he charged a grand total of £0.00 to a 91-year-old customer who had a leaky boiler.

It was later revealed that the tradesman had previously shut down his private firm and launched not-for-profit company Depher, which stands for Disabled and Elderly Plumbing and Heating Emergency Response. He relies on the donations of the public to carry out free, or heavily-reduced jobs for his clients, after an incident in which he saw one company trying to overcharge an elderly and disabled gentleman with a total fee of £5500.

Human chain formed to guide dolphins out of canal

A group of people came together this week to form a human chain in a St. Petersburg canal, when they found that four dolphins had lost their way and ended up in the waters.

Two mothers and their calves appeared to be trapped in the canal, but after volunteers formed a human chain to create a visual barrier, they swam under the bridges and back into Tampa Bay.
