We're doing things a little bit differently this week in our Feel Good Friday feature series, as brilliant Danish pop indie group Alphabeat have released their brand new single I Don't Know What's Cool Anymore, and announced an album of the same name for release in November!
Alphabeat first stormed onto the music scene in 2006 with debut single Fascination, which became a staple of any radio worth its salt's pop playlist. Making a name for themselves across the globe, they've been releasing infectious tracks in the years since, but are now back bigger than ever before after a six-year hiatus.
Listen to their new tune below:
"We have never felt stronger as a band - and as friends," say the six-piece. "There is so much renewed energy, lust, wildness, friendship, words and melodies we need to get out and when listening to our forthcoming album I think one can clearly sense what fellowship we have together."
Let's hope a supporting tour is announced soon; we'd love to see Alphabeat back on the road!

Dropkick Murphys perform private show for young cancer patient
Three-year-old Quinn is one of the strongest young people we've ever read about. At his young age, he's battling cancer and can't leave home. He was diagnosed with a brain tumour in February, and has been stuck in his Weymouth house since June, after three rounds of chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant.
After hearing about Quinn's story, Celtic punk band The Dropkick Murphys decided to pull up at his home and perform a private show.
Kacey Musgraves helps struggling shop owner
On the search for a one-hour photo lab in Los Angeles, singer Kacey Musgraves came across an old-school shop and its owner who offer retro portrait sessions, with handmade backdrops.
After having her picture taken, Musgraves learned that the owner was struggling with his business, and so decided to put her star power to good use.
Taking to her Instagram, she explained: "We were just in LA and needed to find a One Hour Photo place quick. Sandwiched between little bodegas, my sister randomly found this place on Beverly Blvd in Korea Town called Tom's One Hour Photo & Lab. It's one of those rare mom-&-pop gems that has lasted thru [sic] trends coming and going and weirdly has come back around again without even realizing it.
The owner, Tom, was SO adorable. He not only does film developing but (cheap) and nostalgic portrait sessions too. (He gave us digital files and we edited these but he'll shoot on film if you ask him to.) Pick your favorite background! He made them all himself. It's cash only and he has no internet.
He sadly told us his business used to be really busy back in 1991 when he opened but has slowed way down since the digital wave. So, like any good millennials would do we started an appreciation Instagram for him. @tomsonehourphotolab. Not sure he'll even see this. Stop by, tell all your friends, and don't forget to tag. Let's keep this charming business afloat!"
At the time of writing, the Instagram account created by Musgraves has 39,900 followers. Incredible stuff! What a week for the musicians of the world.
