We have had some crazy conspiracies in our time writing the Conspiracy of the Week series, but none quite live up to what we're going to be delving into today. There are a whole bunch of theories surrounding Beyoncé, Jay Z, their wealth and their family, but this one really takes the cake. Today, we look at the conspiracy theory that's been circulating the web for some time, suggesting that Jay Z could actually be a time-travelling vampire.

Where does the conspiracy stem from?

For years, a photograph said to be taken in Harlem, in 1933, has been doing the rounds on Twitter. The man in the picture undoubtedly looks identical to the world's favourite modern-day rapper, Jay Z. Check it out below:

It originated from the New York Public Library's Schomburg Center blog, which asked: "Does the man on the right remind you of someone? Perhaps it was his great-grandfather taking a break in Harlem in 1939. The photographer, we know for sure, was Sid Grossman. If you can put a (real) name on the young man, let us know."

Jay Z of course wasn't born until December 4, 1969. Well, that's what the history books tell us, but conspiracists insist that he must be some sort of time-travelling vampire, because no two people on the planet could possibly look so alike, right?

It's pretty obvious where the time-travelling aspect of the theory comes from, but for those unfamiliar with vampires, things are a little more complicated!

Never proven to be real, vampires are mythical creatures said to feed on the blood of the living in order to remain youthful and a part of the modern world. They've found their place in pop culture thanks to stories such as Dracula and Twilight, but could one of the planet's biggest stars be revealed as the first-ever real-life vampire in our lifetime?

We highly doubt it...
