We've got a real taste for rosé here at Female First, and have been trying out some new additions to the market over the past few weeks. With lots of different flavours resulting in some delicious offerings, we've put together a list of our top five that you should consider giving a shot this weekend! All are affordable, and incredibly yummy!
McGuigan Black Label Sparkling Rosé
Available at Sainsbury's for just £7.50, this bright and refreshing wine is complete with hints of strawberry, citrus and red currant. If you're enjoying a night in and want something to ease you into the weekend, or you're getting ready to host a Bank Holiday BBQ, this is the perfect bottle to share with friends!
Nice's Pale Rosé
Also available in Sainsbury's across the UK, and priced at just £3 per can, Nice's Pale Rosé is wine for whenever! Coming in a can, you can enjoy the drink on the beach, at a festival, or from the comfort of your own home. There's even a Sauvignon Blanc option available!
Jacob's Creek Le Petit Rosé
This Australian wine isn't as new to the market as some of the others on our list, but we couldn't help but include it! The rosé is a light Provence-style rosé, both crisp and delicate, with aromas of rose petals, spices and red fruit. Extremely well-balanced, the wine goes well with light savoury dishes, and goes down even better if you add some frozen grapes or cranberries to your glass. The rosé is available at OCADO for £6.88, Tesco for £6.50, Co-op for £7 and Amazon for £6.50.
Rosé Méditerranée
SPAR recently launched their new Regional Selection Méditerranée Rosé, and it's one of the lightest, delectable and affordable wines on the market. Available exclusively in SPAR stores nationwide at just £7, it's a must-have addition to any wine-drinker's household!
Campo Viejo Rosé
As the UK's number one Rioja brand, it was only a matter of time before Campo Viejo launched their own rosé! With notes of strawberry, citrus and cherry, as well as a hint of rose petals, this wine is perfect for the summer, to enjoy in the sun with a delicious BBQ meal. At just £8 per bottle, the wine is a steal, and available now from Ocado, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and ASDA.
Celebrating the new wine, Campo Viejo are hosting a Spanish themed pop-up on the South Bank in London on August 15, allowing visitors to taste the new wine, as well as some Spanish food, with the backdrop of Spanish music! Walk-ins are available on the day.
